Hair color problems!?

OK, my hair is naturally a light brownish color, at the start of the summer holidays i put a blonde color on and it came out as a warm blondish color, then i put some highlights in. i went on holiday and the sun made my hair really blonde, but when i was in the swimming pool the highlights went a really faint greenish color but it wasn't really noticeable. the green has gone now and it is back to blonde highlighted.

anyway i want to dye my hair a dark brown (i have done it a while ago and everyone said it suited me really well) but i'm not sure what color it will go.

this is my color now :

apart from my brown roots are coming through

this is the color i want to go:

the brown above is the color on the box of the hair dye kit, and it says it is suitable for blonde hair, but what will happen when i put it on top of all my colors and stuff?

  1. Your pictures are not showing up

  2. Hi there. I am a lisenced hairdresser.

first of all. your pics aren't showing up but that doesn't really matter bcuz you pretty much gave me all the info I needed to know. since your hair is highlited that means that your hair has bleach in it. which means that the highlited pieces of your hair are very very lite and contain no pigment.  you will be fine coloring your hair a dark brown HOWEVER. in order to ensure that your hair will come out all nice and even brown, you will first need to color your hair with a semi permanent DARK BLONDE or light brown BEFORE using the dark brown color. you need to do this becuz the highlighted pieces of your hair are very lite and when you put a dark brown color on hair that is that lite blonde in color its going to turn out almost like a dark greenish-brown color in the areas that your hair was highlighted and trust me you DONT WANT THAT. and the brown will also fade very very fast. you need to always apply color back into bleached hair before you color it dark. its important. so you should go to your local drug store (cvs. walgreens. walmart etc,) and buy natural instincts semi permanent hair color. its very gentle on your hair and not damaging. youre going to want to purchase a dark neutral blonde color. always stick with neutrals. try to steer clear or ANYTHING that has ASH or WARM or GOLDEN in the name of it. bcuz it MIGHT cause your hair to turn funky colors. sticking with natural and neutral colors keeps your hair from turning out weird colors. so use the dark neutral blonde from natural instincts and your hair will probably turn a very bland and boring dark blonde almost very very very light brown color. then the next day  or a couple days later (its good to give ur hair a rest) go and purchase a dark neutral brown. a good color to use is hydrience dark brown from Clairol. its a neutral color and its very moisturizing. and apply that. your hair should come out a nice even dark brown and it will last for a while! use special shampoos for colored hair to keep it from fading. GOOD LUCK! :)
