Hair cut confusion?!?!?

ok, i just asked this question in the style section under hair but i only got one answer so im going to re-pot it here because i always get a lot of answers in this section

my mom set up an appointment for me to get my hair cut and highlited next week. i was really excited but, i'm not really sure how to get my hair cut. i was thinking shoulder-lenght with a smaller section cut shorter to leave down with pony tails and stuff like that.......? does that sound like a good hair cut or would you recomend something different? im going into 8th grade, have blonde hair, and a heart shaped face (if that helps at all)

I would suggest getting a short, layered cut. Long enough to tie it up with shorter tendrils at the front then when you have it down the shorter bits at the front will frame your face.

what i always do is get my hair cut short enough to put in a pony tail and get layers cause i have really thick hair. and side bangs.
