Hair-dye help, please! (and yeah, I asked this question in a different section, but I really need help!)?

I'm going to metrocon this weekend, cosplaying as Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Since I didn't have enough funding for a wig, I decided to go with spray-on hair dye, but I've come across a major issue.

The hairdye is flammable - and I have tremendously curly hair, meaning I have to straighten it. I can't go without blue hair, and I can't go without straight hair, but I'm worried that if I put the spray in first, then straighten my hair, I'll singe it, or that if I do it the other way around, my hair will start curling back up due to the moisture. Please help me!

ok this has worked for me -- get the wash and straight shampoo (it's like $2.50 ish at drug store) and do as directions say-- lather, let it sit a little rinse and repeat.. DON'T CONDITION IT.. then  tough it out and brush your hair straight..now, for drying I use a VO5 hair dryer with attached comb so the whole time I am drying it pulls it straight (yes you will see a little bit of dryness, but it gets better) OK have a flat iron that has the ceramic plates and heats to at least 375-- get it good and hot--- then get a good "humid control" straightening spray-- then eith each section spray it then straighten- this will take a bit of time, but it's worth it.. SO when it's all done and straight get the spray dye and start at the ends and do a little at a time.. spray, dry, little at a time.. takes a LONG time but worked for me and doing the slow spray dry in small bits didn't make mine curl back up.. and I have dark brown wavy hair....GOod luck.. do send pics of how it turns out

that stuff is just like hair spray so straighten then apply it! or get a new straightener that works

I think u should just leave ur hair curly. But if you have to do it strighten ur hair first using a product form a store to help keep it stright  then spray it.

Straighten your hair first. Then spray with the spray on color. The spray will act more like a hairspray then water. So it sould help with the frizz.
