i have had my hair dyed black twice, at the same hairdresser's, and each time its failed.

the first time it completely faded into a ginger'ish brown. and this time its like, black, yeah, but with a brown tint when the light is shining onto it.

this is starting to annoy me now. what could be the problem?

  1. Go to an entirely different hair salon. It's the fault of the hairdresser. Black dyes generally shouldn't have brown kinds of tints. It's more common to see bluer tints on really, really dark hair. But, yeah, go with what everyone else is saying and see another stylist.

  2. Could be your hair is just fading,(which is what happens)..and you need to go in and get a retouch...or It just didn't take..Which happens..all the time.

I meant your hair color..Not your hair.

Box color bites for any sort of hair..Don't use it.

Chances are It's not your hairdresser...It's your hair.

  3. yerr hairdresser is the problem.

    dont go there.

  4. if you use hair gel, waxes or mouses etc regularly, your hair absorbs it and that can effect how well a dye takes or how long the new colour lasts.

  5. I dyed me hair too.  i use dark brown with a few drops of black.  this helps to make you have a good almost black hair.

but in your case it's the hairdresser.  At 17 any dye will change the color of your hair.  my advice, change hairdresser or do it at home yourself.

  6. Your hairdresser is the problem. Box dye works best for black hair.
