Hair dye reaction????

Question

I've dyed my hair a few times but as have dark hair I never have much success. However I decided to try XXL live mystic violet because it says it even works on black hair so I thought I'd give it try. my mum just put it on about 25 mins ago and I began to feel stinging on my head. However I am desperate to see what it looks like and so I didn't want to wash it off! (I know that sounds really bad because u are supposed to!) anyway, I've still got it on my head now and its been 25 mins - my head is still stinging quite a lot! I have never had any reactions to hair dye or hair products so I just thought it was be the hydrogen peroxide in it and the fact that my head it a bit sensitive.

But is this a big problem? its just my head that stings and I've got no other reactions. I don't actually have any allergies so I'm not sure how bad it can be.

What kind of things can this hair dye do to you if you start feeling reactions!!

lol actually I don't really wanna know now!!!! haha! I'll wash it off in a minute! hopefully my hair hasn't disappeared!!

I died my hair black when I was 8 to become 100% goth and I remember it stinging really badly, but don't worry, nothing happens.

I once dyed my hair dark brown and I had a severe allergic reaction, I know it sounds weird but I got a red rash on my neck and dark brown spots on my skin around my body (I think it was Shwarzkopf). Very scary experience.

If there's any burning or stinging I would wash it off straight away! I hope you like your new hair, I always think it's fun to play around with cool new hair colours ;)

If it was that bad you should have washed it off. I had a reaction to hair dye before, and I didn't feel anything when it was on my hair. 3 days after I got a bumpy rash on my neck and ears.

You should always to a skin test before using any new hair dye. Reactions can be really bad. You may have only a stinging at the moment but the reaction can continue even when you have washed it off. It can take up to 48 hrs to see the full extent of the reaction.

You should have washed it off the minute it starts stinging.

Though once I was stupid enough to leave it on for 40mins whilst stinging me, and nothing happened to me.

i'm not trying to worry you but i know someone who dyed their hair had an allergic reaction and there hair fell out so as much as you want a new hair colour i think that you want your hair more than the new colour. wash it off. i hope its ok :)
