Question:

Hair falling out really fast?

I'm 18 and I feel that my hair is falling out too fast for my age. I've had dandruff for years, but my hair falling out is a new problem. Will this be fixed if I eat more protein or will conditioner fix it? If not, what will?

  1. From my personal experience, I've found that hair can fall out if you are too harsh with it. Of course, this goes for hair health in general. Have you been having your hair up in ponytails, braids, or any other stressful styles? When my hair started falling out in great quantities, this was the case; and, after letting my hair relax by leaving it down, I stopped shedding. I would also think that the protein would help, too. Also, avoid brushing/combing your hair unless it's necessary. And when you do brush, run through only the tangles and ends - keep away from the roots. And never brush your hair when it's wet, since this is when your hair is most vulnerable. If you don't find something that helps, that maybe it would be best to ask a doctor.

  2. OMG i am 19 years old and I had the same exact problem okay listen start taking the "hair nails and skin" vitamin supplements if you're not already...or you can just buy the hair vitamin supplements cause you dun need them for your nails and skin, start drinking more water cause when you have dandruff your scalp is dry and flaky meaning your body needs water (the dermatologist told me to) wash your hair with neutrogena's shampoo that are specifically for dandruff like twice a week. But if you feel like your body needs protein start taking iron supplements (Feosol) you can take both, i did this and my hair became stronger and longer in 3 months. Oh yeah you can buy any kinda hair moisturizing lotion/oil for your scalp since it's dry, it'll help. I swear i did this and my hair is beautiful, i got enough hair for two heads now lol Oh yeah have you been on a crash diet lately?? If you are dun overdo it cause that's probably why you're losing your hair. I swear the stuff will work for you. :-) Good luck!

  3. nothing you have cancer and your gonig to die in 7 months

  4. I have really thin hair, but that's because I dyed my hair with permanent dye 5 times in one month, then went to a salon to fix it...plus I was stupid and rubbed the hair dye into my scalp. Every time. So a lot of it was burnt so bad it'll never grow back. And this was years ago too. Thank god there aren't any bald spots and I don't need mousse or anything- it's just really thin now.

There's nothing you can do to fix it, except to reduce the stress in your life, and be extra gentle with your hair- condition it every time you shampoo, don't EVER use dyes with peroxide(semi-permanent are fine), and don't ever make the same mistake I made when I was 15(rubbing hair dye into your scalp). If you want your hair to look thicker, use mousse and a blowdryer, but don't forget to use a heat protective spray or gel. Good luck.

That Girl: I like your idea, I think I'll try it to fix my hair. Hope it works. Thanks!

  5. I've been having the same problems. I have tons of dandruff and i have yet to find a solution for that i'm affraid. As for the hair falling, mine kinda has like a cycle and theres certain times of the year that it falls quite a bit then it gets normal again. Maybe get your hormones checked? Cut down the stress, eat a balanced diet...
