i have a chi flat iron, and i havent used the syrum that came with it.Also, i colored parts of my hair. Recently, the parts tht i colored are dry, brittle, and they like stick up, and theres nothing i can do to get them to stop doing that.also i think it somewhat melted the colored pieces off. is there anything that i can to do fix these, they really bother me and idk how i can fix this problem! and no, im not going to stop flat ironing my hair unless theres one product that can make it look good curly, because when i let my hair go, its not pretty at all.

note: i have razer cut hair.

  1. Are the parts that are especially dry and brittle the ends of your hair? If they are, it would be beneficial for you to get a haircut. Just a small trim that takes a few inches off, nothing dramatic that will change your style. The damage sounds severe, cutting it off will really help you.

The reason it sticks up is because it lacks moisture and is not laying flat like it should. These parts really do need to be cut off, no product will remoisturise and fix them no matter how much you pay for it.

Even if you don't stop flat ironing entirely, lay off it once in a while. The damage nearly 200 degrees of heat does to your hair is extremely worrying, so on weekends or lazy days where you're not going anywhere, just let your hair be daggy and let its natural oils help to moisturise. Also, try avoiding washing your hair everyday unless it is particularly oily.

I have the same problem where my hair looks feral if not straightened and its all poofy and icky in general :| What is it that you hate about your hair when it's left naturally? Frizz, yucky waves?? Products like John Frieda Frizz Ease are great for taming frizz and flyaways and any curling product will do fine, but I recommend the KMS line. Please tell me what your hair is like when it's natural?

  2. i had this problem and the best product to use is B&B restoring mineral spray. it looks like water and has a green colored wrap. it is very easy to find i sugest getting it from shear ego. thy have the best prices on it. it does not make your hair look greasy like most sprays it adds shine and not only gives it a healthy look it restores split ends and all sorsts of flat ironed dammeged hair. it works great

  3. Sounds like your hair is over processed.  With it being that dry I would use a deep conditioning mask, once or twice a week.  Also, it sounds like these pieces are completely dead, so they need to be cut off.

If you don't choose that route you can use a small bit of wax to mend the pieces together and get them to stick down.

Did you or a stylist color your hair?  Did you bleach it?  Normally you get the most damage from lightening your hair due to you have to lift and deposit color.  If you bleach I always use a calmer blond to tone the hair and give it that healthier look.

Also I used a Chi Turbo for years.  After my motor burning up and it just falling apart I gave up.  So I switched to the GHD.  It is rather expensive but well worth the money.  Instead of getting up to 450 degrees like Chi's do it has a sensor chip in the plates that heat up to a safe heat for your hair type.  It is also made out of bullet proof material, which means it survives a drop and it has an automatic shut off after 30 minutes, so no more worrying whether you left the flat iron on.

You have to think, if your hair is really damaged putting a lot of heat to it is not helping it.  It's only destroying it more.

  4. Stop straightening it. Seriously. STOP

your hair is going to FALL out and your going to

be bald...would you rather that, or poofy curls?

My hair is the same && i used to straighten it

ALL THE TIME && it got damaged and yucky

but still seems like I had a better situation then yours...

and now i've gone a month with out doing anything

damaging, using Garnier Fructis "Long & Strong"

&& my hair is back in good health.

Stick with Garnier for your curls and LEAVE IT

ALONE or you'll regret it. :D

  5. I have the same problem! I just use a special heat spray from a salon, any one from a salon should work good, and then every other day I use Aussie's 3 minute miracle hair treatment, and it helps out alot! I also try not to straighten my hair on weekends unless i h ave too, and i try to shower in warm water so its not adding to my daily heat use.

  6. Hi my hair is like you i put to my hair oil and cream i was care my hair good and that i brushed
