I started dieting and I went a bit overboard. For a while I only ate vegetables and diet coke. My hair started to get funky and fall out & it scared me so I changed my diet. I make sure I eat a lot of protein, healthy fats and complex carbs. I've gained back 10 pounds but my hair is still falling out like mad. I've been eating better for almost a year! What can I do to stop the hair loss?!! It's noticeably thinner, and it's really upsetting me!!

  1. Water water water ......  you need to also ensure that you are properly hydrated each and every day so that you're body can perform at peak levels. Have a peek at this link, it may help u ~

    http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/tip2113...

Take a multi B complex tablet including all the B's ie: B1, B2 B3, B5, B6 and B12 as they work best synergistically (together)....... do not take any of the B complex of vitamins individually, but rather as a whole complex, unless specifically instructed to by a nutritionally oriented physician or naturopath.......... they will bolster your immunity, digestive system and neural functioning and buffer your body against stress.

The B complex of vitamins is a water soluble complex and as such our bodies can neither store or produce them........... When we are ill or stressed this group of vitamins will be used up rather rapidly ...... Therefore we need to ingest them on a daily basis.

Try to cut out sodas and soft drinks and alcohol if you drink any and cut right back on caffeinated drinks too as they will all dehydrate you terribly and rob you of your precious B complex of vitamins.

Other things that will rob you of your precious B complex of vitamins are :- stress, eating too much protein, alcohol, eating too much tinned food, laxatives and diuretics, antiobiotics, antidepressants, penicillin, prednisone and aspirin, otc cold and flu medicines.

    hope this helps u

    peace 2 u

  2. Bad blood flow to roots of hair is the main physical cause

In consequence , of course the hair doesn't receive nutrition and oxygen

  3. My answer to u is water for most. Then u need 2 keep it oil,and conditioned.Wash it every two weeks. You also need to try some suffer8 grease,or which ever one works for you!!!!!!!!!

  4. First of all leave the stress. Because I saw on a hair info site i.e http://hairlosscounter.com/ that the stress is the cause of hair loss.

There are some other factor cause hair loss like pregnancy, extreme weight gain or loss, illnesses like high fever, and the use of certain drugs

  5. Diets are one main cause of hair loss. This condition can be classified as Telogen Effluvium because your hair follicles is under shock from the lack of nourishments and vitamins that it need.

As Telogen Effluvium only occurs 3 - 4 months after you started hurting your body with diets, you won't notice the problem until 3 months later. Therefore, even if you start eating foods and stuff your hair needs you are unlikely able to stop the outflow of hairs in the resting phase.

Your solution to this problem is relatively simple. First, make sure your diet are right. Reduce stress by sleeping early. Finally, wait for 6-7 months and everything should return to normal. Telogen Effluvium is a temporary problem which will resolve itself once your body recovered. Try B Complex vitamins..and take plenty of water.

    Good Luck!
