Question:

Hair product for frizzy hair and best hair straightener?

I wear my hair naturally curly and sometimes I straighten it. School just started and we don't get AC so it gets pretty hot during the day and my hair frizzes and gets really puffy. Anyone know of a shampoo, leavin'-conditioner or something that will help prevent this?

-Also my hair is kinda thick and whenever I attempt to straighten it, it never becomes completely straight. Right now I have a Wet-2-Straight and a Bed Head straightener, neither of them work that well. And my hair also gets frizzy and starts to curl again once I get wet, or it's humid out. What's the best straightener you have use and any tips or products that can help keep it straight during the day?

Thanks for your advice!!

  1. Someone please answer this question with an acual answer that works!

I have the same exact problem.

  2. infusium it straightens and repairs your hair

also best hairstraightner i would say is the CHI

but try infusium it really works

  3. hm straightner wise probably my sedu or solia. they work great on my really curly hair.

  4. For shampoo and conditioner I would recommend Paul Mitchell Super Skinny.  There is a whole line of products in the Super Skinny line that will help for styling - you should use Super Skinny Serum and Gloss Drops. Find a salon that carries Paul Mitchell where you can talk to the stylists and have them explain all the products for you.  Also there is a new Paul Mitchell flat iron that is the best.  Its called The Express Ion Style flat iron ( its silver, not black, the black one is different).  The secret with really thick and frizzy hair is to take really small sections when you flat iron and go more slowly with running the flat iron over each section.  If you flat iron through your hair too fast, or take too big of sections, it will have a tendency to frizz back up.  I know its tough to do because it requires spending some extra time on your hair, but the results are worth it.  I wash and blow dry my hair about every 3 or 4 days, and on the days I do all that, I spend about 30 to 40 minutes with the flat iron, and then I only have to run the flat iron over the ends of my hair for the next few days until I wash it again and start the process over.  Try it one night or day when you have some extra time and see if it lasts for you.  Also remember to get some products and have the stylist explain them to you - products are key!  Good Luck!

  5. I have exactly the same hair as you

I use Andrew Collinge Anti Frizz Hair Shampoo and Conditioner.

    trouble is with my hair, it gets really knotty. If this is the case with yoru hair;

Brush your hair in the shower with the conditioner on.

Then when you have toweled dry your hair should be straight.

Ghd hair starighteners are quite dear, but they are worth every penny in my opinion. Make sure to get the large plated ones as they are good for our kind of hair and makes it a quicker process.

After straightening if there is still frizz, i just use a serum (tresseme) it's very cheap but does wonders.

Put the serum on every morning - that should calm your hair down a lot and keep it calm.

Even though hair dressers don't agree to this, hair starighten your hair at least every night, i usually do it in the morning, at lunch at school andin the evening - but that's a bit obsessive...

Just make sure you have a heat defensive spray so you don't burn your hair off - otherwise you might end up having it all chopped off!

Anyway, i hope this has been of some help to you
