I'm looking for a streightner that is really easy to use and fast. Any recommendations?? I remember seeing somre at the mall that streightned your hair with one stroke it was really fast and worked incredibly well. Or if you could help me with this :

I have brown wavy hair a bit longer than sholder lenghth. I have to wake up at 5:30 and have about an 45minutes to get ready. I'd like some quick and easy hairstyles to do before school (i also have side bangs) other than the usual pony tail. Thanks ! If you need anymore info let me know!! :)

  3. I am a hair stylist and the best I have found are the CHI Irons they run about $100.00 if you can get a stylist to get it for you.  I have tried the cheaper brands and nothing compares.  The CHI's are quick, less damaging, and make the hair soft and shiny.  A tip if you have limited time is shower at night and dry your hair or let it air dry whichever you prefer, then straighten in the AM.  Some people even straighten it at night then just do touch ups in the AM.  Always make sure you use a protective spray or serum before ironing so it causes less damage.  Hope this helps, and Happy Styling!!!

  4. Chi ( you can get them at a hair salon or ebay) conair ( you can get them at wal-mart) and i have one its called Hair Rush that i got at Tj Max and it heats up in 30 seconds and works good.

  5. Hi there,

Im not really fond of GHD's - theyre not bad hair straighteners - theyre just so expensive for what you get.

Choice did a hair test and found that in comparison to the more expensive brands, that conair/ remington were a good cheaper comparison (I think they were referring to the silver and black salon model). Diva is not too bad, and well priced also.

I myself have a Marcos hair straightener (Im an Aussie, and its Aus designed and made) Its the only hair straightener that outranks GHD and has features that the GHD doesn't . Its wonderful, makes my hair look beautiful and I picked it up for AU $150 off ebay, so cheaper than a GHD. I hear Chi's are great but never used one as theyre not readily available over here.

Keep in mind that they all really do the same thing, but if your looking to use it often (about 4 or more times a week) save up for a slightly pricier one with nicer plates (Ie ceramic, with tourmaline coating) so you wont damage your hair as much. And with any of these straighteners you'll be able to create heaps of different looks, from sleek, to curly, or flicked out and slightly spiky. Just experiment and see what looks best on you.

Remember to use a thermal protectant product when you straighten, and if you use the straightener often you'll have to do some conditioning treatments at home about once a month to keep your hair looking great ( Dont worry, you can find some home made ones that do the same job - no need to fork out more money!)
