Well i have been saving up for a hair straightener for a little while. My mom and I went out to the store the other day and I said "Do you want to see the hair straightener I'm going to get?" Then she told me I'm not getting a hair straightener! I didn't want to say anything else because I would get her mad. What do I do? I am going to get layers and I need to straighten them or they will stick out.

How do I convince my mom that hair straightener's aren't bad?

I'm also going to buy the TRESsemme thing that will keep your hair healthy.

Please help me out.

  1. Well, it's your money, therefore you have the right to buy the straightener. Tell her that, but in a nice way. And also explain to her your predicament.

  2. well anisa haha.  that sucks.  I like your hair the way it is now and it looks nice.  Dont get layers until your alloud to get the straightner. Keep making money so u have it to show your mom.  The best straightners are like 200$i have a straightner and it takes like an hour and even then it doesnt turn out the best and my cousin just got one for 200 from a salona nd it works great

  3. Just tell your mom that you will take care of your hair and keep it healthy. As long as you use a really good shampoo and conditioner and apply a heat protector spray to your hair before you use it, your hair can still stay healthy.  I have been blowdrying and straightening my hair for like 7 years now and my hair is super healthy.

  4. Okay first Hair straightening can fry your hair if you do not use GOOD products on it to protect it. I suggest catwalk, It is a GREAT product that protects your hair from the heat also deep condition it once a week to keep it healthy.

To convince your mom Tell how much you want it, And that You will buy the products and if anything goes wrong you won't complain.

  5. try and find an article online line, that says something good about striaghtners -

then, yes explain to her about the whole heat protectors, that won't damage your hair.

my moms the same, she wont let me use my cousins - so im saving up for one.

    goooodluck [:
