Question:

Hair straightening help would be helpful ?

I just started straightening my hair a couple days ago and my mom told me I would burn my hair if I didn't use spray. So she bought the heat spray thing and I haven't used it yet. Will it make my hair greasy? Any suggestions for non-greasy heat protective products? Also I straighten my hair at night then put in a pony tail. Is that the best method for keeping it straight till the next day?

  1. heat spray does make your hair greasy

but it all depends on how much you use.

use less frequently. only spray a couple times

i dont use anything before i straighten it.

dont leave the straightener on your hair in one spot for long

and it wont burn. what i do is put my hair up. then put some pieces

at a time down and straighten them; then i keep doing that method till im done :D &then i spray my hair with perfume because the straightener tends to make my hair smell burnt.

  2. i use about 3 pumps for my head.

the left and right and in the middle.

USE IT I GOT MAJOR DAMAGE FROM MY IRON!

  3. No it wont make it greasy

and if it does the straightener will

    heat off the grease

so don't worry and USE IT

because I didn't and my hair looked

    bad for a LONG time

Just wake up in the morning and straighten your hair

don't leave it in all night because it can break the hair that's in the pony tail all night

  4. ok. first. I have very frizzy curly unmanagable hair so I have to straighten mine as well. Since it takes awhile to straighten it I will do it the first night as well, you can put it in a low pony but then when you wake up you will have a line from the pony tail. So you may have to do a quick touch up in the morning.

Best way not to fry your hair is to use a Ceramic one (I have a "chi")

also use this stuff called "Kenra Platinum. Silkening Gloss" Its kinda like oil but you just don't use a lot and don't put it so much on your roots but more the ends. So your hair doesn't get too burned. You never need to use TOO much protectant, but just a little bit WILL help :)

  5. your hair won't look greasy .

and leaving your hair overnight with a ponytail can leave a pony line on it .

just brush it everyday and in just a few days you'll see that it makes a different

oh and btw try using aussie shampoo & conditioner it's really great !

    i wished i helped you (:

  6. well it depends on how much you put on and yeah, and its okay if you put it up on a pony tail, just keeep it loose and it wont get a wavy spot. hope i helped=

  7. your first answer is the best but if you really wanna do it at night, put on a bandanna to cover it and dont ponytail it, then in the morning you just have to redo the front peices and bangs if you have them

  8. I have been straightening my hair for about a year now. I dont use any hair supplies. But, those products sometimes do help, and also sometimes make your hair greasy, my friend uses it.

But I wouldn't want to put your hair in a pony tail at night, it leaves a hair line across the top of your hair, maybe a really loose hair tie, if possible.
