Hair straightening method?

I usually blow dry it straight with a brush and then straighten anything thats left, (but most of it is already straight) but one time when I left my hair to dry naturally (its wavy) and then straightened it, it worked pretty well too, i I THINK it stayed straight better. someone whos done those both please answer: which way is better?

  1. Hi Kissa!

You should use the method that works best for you. You want to put as little heat as possible on your hair, so you need to judge if drying it with a hairdryer and then touching it up with a straightening iron is less time in heat than just straightening it with the iron alone. You can try using a pre-straightening styling spray to protect your hair prior to using the straightening iron. If you do use an anti-frizz serum try and use it AFTER you have completed your hair styling. Anti-frizz serums can actually cause the straightening iron to "cook" the hair if used prior to straightening. Have fun!

  2. to be honest both of these ways do damage your hair to some extent but i would say that the most effective way is to let your hair dry naturally and then straighten it. this will give u more better results than blow drying cuz sometimes blow drying leaves your hair poofy and and really dry..

  3. it is better for your hair to let it dry naturally then straighten it

try to use as little heat as possible on your hair because it is damaging

also, use some kind of hair serum to protect your hair from heat damage.

    hope this helped!
