Currently ive been seeing a lot of these kinds of straightening irons... and my hairstylist uses them regularly in his salon... i was wondering if anyone has any experiences with them, and if they are worth the price (as much or over the price of a chi!)

or if u hav any other suggestions... but so far i think i like it, it seems like good quality.

  1. If you want your hair pin straight, and not have to worry about taking an hour to straighten your hair, then i would definitely suggest getting the chi straightener. its really expensive but worth it. i have the 2 inch and i think it cost me about 200. just make sure not to do it every day or else you'll damage your hair.

  2. Oh wow please take my advice about those flat irons, ok?

I got a job in the mall at one of those kiosks where they sell flat irons for $200 then pretend they're doing you a favor by cutting the price down to $80. Yeah I quit that job because I felt like a liar after finding a flat iron just like it for $30 on eBay.

Flat iron technology is NOT complicated or anything highly advanced. It's simply a ceramic plate being heated electronically.

Don't worry about brand names or who uses what. What you need to do is simply find out if the iron is 100% ceramic plated (not just metal with a thin layer of ceramic covering it). Believe it or not, the Chi's are metal with a thin ceramic covering on most models, yet so expensive, but of course everyone buys them up and left and right because it's a brand name.

  3. i dont know about those straightening irons but the Chi ceramic irons work great.

its the only thing id let touch my hair
