If you want your hair like Miley's just ask the stylist to give you long scattered layers with long whispy bangs.  You can have medium to long hair and get the same effect as hers.  It is a really versatile hair style. You can have a lot of fun with it... Go for it!

You can also show the stylist the same pics.

The bangs when you get them should be cut about 1/2 an inch shorter, as they will grow before you know and be in your eyes.

You could have part of the front hairs (shag/layered) cut to the base of you jaw line and the rest of the back hairs shagged/layered to the middle of your back.

or

instead of shag have it blunt cut.
