What are the haircut regulation for police officers and SWAT members? Is it like the military or ROTC kind? because I heard that you don't really have to cut your hair if you're a police officer and/or detectives.. my hair is kinda sorta long like those asians guys.. such as Shin Hye-Sung that korean singer. My hair is somewhat like him but not completely.. well in a way my hair is just like his

  1. Above the ears, out of the eyes, and not touching the top of your collar on the back of your next.  Also dyed hair is frowned upon, but not a bad thing.

It also takes a lot more than a haircut to get on SWAT, let alone getting on a Police Department.

  2. Buzz cut..

  3. If your hair looks anything like that of "Shin Hye-Sung" as you say, then you've got no chance of getting into a Police Academy with that hair length, let alone a specialised division such as SWAT.

Police require their officers to conform to grooming, fitness and weight standards etc, both for internal esprit de corps and public perception perspectives.

Challenges on the basis of constitutional grounds have in the past been unsuccessful. So if you want to join the Police, let alone one of teir elite units, you have to meet their basic requirements.
