Hairdressers paid by hour?

I going to school next August to get my degree to be a cosmetologist. Will I get paid by the hour as well as by services?

DEPENDS on the deal u make with whomever hires u, some rent the space and pay a monthly/weekly  fee, and keep all the money they recieve in services...

some places u get paid by the hour reguardless of services and some u only get paid for what u do..

it all depends on where you go. Most places pay by service while others pay by hour. I know while you are in school you can find an assistant position in which you'll get paid hourly, then when you finish school you'll most likely get paid for services rendered.

Not in school you won't..You get tips..But other then that, You have to get a part time job.

When working for someone else,  once you have your license, you'll get paid on commission no matter what service is rendered. If you choose to "rent a booth"  in a salon, then you pay a rental fee to the salon owner. I know of no one who gets paid hourly!!! You get a license to be a Cosmetologist not a degree.
