Hairdressing course perth australia?

Hello there, im going to study in perth australia in jan 09. told that if i study hairdressing i can apply for Perminant residency after i complete 2 years. however ive looked online and all i can find is 1 year courses? im very confused. and i keep hearing someone talk about 900hrs ....i have no idea what this is. can someone enlighten me as to what to do...and where the best place is (IN PERTH ONLY) please help...i want to get this sorted asap.

The Australian website of immigration mention hairdressing level III minimum , its referred to as WRH30106: Certificate III in Hairdressing .

So to find a course in perth , just try looking for a "Nationally recognized program" symbol or a listed of such places in at http://www.aqf.edu.au/register.htm .
