  1. Well, in order to be a hairdresser...you have to really love doing what you do. It's hard work because you have to be on your feet all day long and deal with clients. Sometimes clients are not happy and you have to do whatever it takes to make them happy. And sometimes, it can get pretty hard to work at a salon or spa with so many girls..gossip/jealousy. But then again, that's almost any job. But the schooling only takes about 10 months..or 17 moths if you go part time. It's not hard and it's mostly hands on instead of bookwork. And you can make really good money once you BUILD your client tell. My best friend is a hairdresser and she makes about $1100 a week, and she only works thurs, fri, and saturday. So if you really are interested then go ahead and do it. Good luck!
