Hairy Rocket to take down serious competition in the London Irish Conditions Stakes at Windsor
The Class 2 London Irish Conditions Stakes will be hosted by Windsor over five furlongs and ten yards on Monday, 21st May. A very lightly raced line-up of four has assembled for the race with the exception of just one candidate. The winner will be awarded with £7,763.
The only entry who has raced at Windsor and has won, that too through the career debut is Hairy Rocket, Pivotal’s two-year-old bay filly out of mare, Asaawir. This is her only attempt of the career till yet.
She won the Mirror Punters Club Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 14th May at Windsor over five furlongs. Hairy Rocket won while leading by five lengths when she was riding with Ryan Moore. Miss Diva finished the closest to the winner and the 6/4 favourite of the race, Rio’s Pearl, ended fourth on the field of eight.
She started off her career by racing at Windsor and the second outing of her career will again be at Windsor. She should make the best out of the chance that she has been exposed to.
Another note worthy entry for the race is Graphic Guest, Dutch Art’s two-year-old chestnut filly out of mare, Makara. She has raced just twice during the season.
She ended third in the NGK Spark Plugs/British Stallion Studs E B F Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 19th April at Newmarket over five furlongs. The race was won by the 6/5 favourite of the race, Tassel, as All Fur Coat qualified as the runner up.
She then won on 11th May as the evening’s favourite of the 2 Million ATR Viewers Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Division II) at Ascot over five furlongs.
She had Martin Harley onboard and the two led the runner up of the race, Steer By The Stars, by 1 ¼ lengths.
She has all the chances of intimidating the line-up and leading the track today. She will race through her third outing of the season and it will be her first time at Windsor.
Just Past Andover is yet another entry who has won once through the debut season and can prove to be threatening.
Even though there are just four entries racing today, each is competitive in its own way.
