Halal or not?

Are he leaflets that we get pushed through or doors correct when thay have printed on them halal then when you read the menu it reads mainl on the pissa section ham . Ham is not halal is it ,so why put halal on the menu

  1. Normally it would be "ham" made from another meat. The Kebab and the pizza shop across the road from my pub actually showed me the packaging. (I had a few beers, but I believe it was beef).


  2. the "ham" is actually made up of lamb meat but you are better off calling the take-away and asking them straight up.and if you visit the take-away then you should ask them if you can see the packaging, as embarassing as this sounds you should know that some traders don't actually sell halal meat i.e some turkish traders.

  3. Good question - stick to Kosher restaurants - the koshering process is virtually identical and many Jews happily eat halal

  4. HALAL is how the animal is Killed not what it is.

  5. If the menu is from a gora company,  wouldnt trust it.

    Whereas it was from a muslim restaurant/takeaway etc, just ask them if the other meat are halal, and ask why they selling ham as well!
