Half a contact lens?

Question

Been trying out some daily contact lenses (worn monthlys before so familiar with contacts generally), and the other night when I went to take them out, I took out 1 and a half contact lenses from the same eye! No idea where the extra half came from. I definitely didn't leave half in from a previous set. Any ideas?

That is kinda strange. Usually u can feel if u have one in when it's not directly on the pupil part. I once forgot I had one in and I put one contact on top of anouther, that was fun, I was literly seeing double. Just be careful and maybe examin your eyes  maybe if they feel just alittle different.

Presumably there was a fault in the manufacture and an extra lens became torn and stuck to another in the factory. Or possibly you thought you'd removed a whole lens the day before but it was in fact only a half - dailies are very flimsy and tear far more easily than monthlies, so you have to be extra careful when you're handling them. I should have thought you would have felt the remaining half lens in your eye overnight, but maybe not. Either way I would take extra care with the dailies and not worry about it otherwise.

I offer this explanation: One lense (from a previous wearing) tore in half. You took out half and thought you got the whole thing. But you didn't.  Either that, OR one of your lenses had half of a lense stuck to it. How that happened???  The lense company slipped up somehow in their manufacturing,,,.... or you may have had part of a lense already in your eye from a previous or distant wearing and just now it's coming out.  OR two lenses may have been stuck together from your case or from the lense supplier. Maybe you still have half a lense floating around in your eye on the white part. Get your eye checked by your doctor. (but he may not tell you the whole truth if somehow the lense company slipped up).  Those are just some possible explanations. I had something similar happen. (2 soft lenses stuck together)
