I'm doing some research into half-equine mythical beings. Anyone know of some unusual ones? Goats, bulls, and so forth included. No "Centaur, hippo-campus, unicorn, etc..." please. I CAN Google, you know. -_-

that's all I can think of.

  3. MINOTAUR

  4. try the Kelpie

  5. There's the 'politician', which strongly resembles the back half of a horse. :)

Unfortunately for us, they aren't mythical.

  6. First of all, I must just point out that 'equine' refers to horses. Bulls would be 'bovine' and goats 'caprine'.

Aside from the centaur, hippocampus, unicorn and Pegasus, how about the hippogriff? It is supposedly the offspring of a horse and a griffin (a half-lion, half-eagle creature). The rear half of its body is that of a horse, whilst the front half is that of an eagle. There is also the kelpie, an aquatic horse-creature of Celtic legend.

Bovine mythical creatures include the Minotaur, bonnacon, bucentaur,  and lamassu (winged bulls with human heads).

Caprine ones include satyrs, fauns and the chimaera, which is a lion with a snake for a tail and a goat's head on its back.
