Total speculation.

Most of our oxygen comes from ocean plankton anyway.

What's with the fear mongering by the green n***s?

  1. Only about 50% of our oxygen comes from the plankton

  2. I've heard that the rainforest holds undiscovered cures to many diseases.  Plus, the rainforest is a darn cool place IMO and I hope to visit it before it disappears.  So no, I'm not laughing.

  3. According to popular opinion, there are 5.5 million square kilometers of rain forest in the Amazon.

Between May 2000 and August 2006, Brazil lost nearly 150,000 square kilometers of forest and since 1970, over 600,000 square kilometers  of Amazon rainforest have been destroyed, so if they keep doing so it should all be paved over by 2017.

Hopefully though, with improved logging techniques it can be accomplished in half that time.

Then we have to go and get rid of all that nasty greenery in Africa, China, southeast Asia, Central America, ad nauseum.

It's funny how the greens seem to hate humans but wring their hands at the idea of we normal folks destroying that which produces so much oxygen and keeps so many humans alive (not to mention all the coffee, cocaine, and other miracle drugs alleged to reside in such places.)

As a capitalist, I want those forests to thrive so that raw materials can be taken from there for me to use to s***w, uh I mean serve the people with!
