Half sister K Kirk of CA. my birth name is Powell/Kishmer O.C. February 4th, 1964?

My birth mothers last name was Powell and maiden name was Kishmer. I was born at Santa Ana Community Hospital in Orange County, Ca. February 4, 1964. I have a half sister that was looking for me but I don't know how to find her ***believe my birth mothers maiden name was Betty Kishmer and she attended Anaheim High School 1940*** Does anybody know any of these names or family members?? Please help me in my search. Thank You

California has a birth index.  It is available at Ancestry.com.  You can sign up for a 2 week free trial and do a search in the California birth index.  Just enter the approximate birth year, the s*x of the child, the mother's maiden name and you will receive results based on that.  That will give you your sister's name and date of birth.

    From there, you can use public records to locate her.  Public records can be online and off.  You can use zabasearch.com for free.  It gives the birth year for many of the people in its results, narrowing things down if the person has a common name.

I took a look at your listing in the birth index.  Powell may not have been her married name she may have just listed the BF on the birth certificate since you are listed as Kishmer/Kishmer & Kishmer/Powell.  This indicates that she was unmarried.  Please feel free to e-mail me directly and I can see if I can help you locate your half sister and BM if you like or to put you in touch with someone who can help if I can't.  Remember search angels do not charge a fee.
