  1. The biggest hali we landed off of my boat this year weighed 340lbs. We landed a 420lb hali two years ago being our biggest catch of the six years I have been fishing these waters(Northwest BC). Using different combinations of baits, octopus, salmon bellies, mackeral, and small kelp cod's seem to be the best. Overall it has been a good year on hali catches, but the weather hasn't been very nice to us for getting out as much as we wanted to. 40yr exp. Pacific Northwest BC guide

  5. They call those huge Halibut Barn doors for a reason. They really are as big as a barn door.

  8. that was a commercial for ziplock it just got put around alot besides if it weighed that much it would crack the ice
