  1. yes, it can snow a lot in halifax about 10 heavy snow falls a year or more . the chronicle herald is the main newspaper of halifax.

  2. Halifax doesnt usually get any snow until January. We don't get a huge amount because the city is so close to the ocean. Some years we can get large snow fall, but 1-2 feet is our yearly average. Temperatures here are mostly mild.

Halifax's main paper is The Chroncle Herald.

  3. The Chronicle News is the paper and it snows in halifax normally (when i was there it didnt :D that was in winter 2006/january 2007)

  4. Yes, it snows in the Halifax.

However, snow isn't as bad as the harsh north atlantic wind that freezes everything in it's path and can easily drop temperatures to minus 35. Especially bad if it happens  to blow after it rains. Halifax/Dartmouth does not have mild temperatures for winter.

The main newspaper is the Chronical Herald, but you'll find more ads in kijiji.ca

    Good luck.

  5. Uh don't listen to these bozos who say Halifax's winter isn't mild, I'm guessing they've never spent a winter out west.. Nova Scotia has the 2nd mildest winters out of every province in Canada, only 2nd to British Columbia.
