Hall Green, Grade A1, 480m – Results
Grade A1 race at about 480 metres in distance, was held at Hall Green on 6 January, 2012.  Six greyhounds including Ask Flash, Trivia, Westview Poppy, Jumeirah Dilemma, Minglers Nut and Caribbean Gem ran in the race.
Caribbean Gem, finished first in the race by completing the distance in 29.24 seconds. The dog broke from trap 4 and ran with tremendous pace and immense aggression to out finish his opponents.

It was his 22nd consecutive race over a distance of 480 metres. The veteran dog has run 43 races over the same distance, since his debut on 29 October, 2010.
Whelped in May 2009 and trained by J R Hall, the dog shell shocked everyone with his fabulous performance. He was regarded as a joint favourite on the basis of his past records.
Minglers Nut, finished a solid second in the race with a difference of 0.10 seconds. Breaking from trap 1, the b***h ran well and tried her best to catch up with, Caribbean Gem, but couldn’t overhaul the eventual winner.

He wrapped up the race in 29.34 seconds. She got this position for the fourth time. Making her debut on 10 June, 2011, she has run only 480 metres long races so far.
Minglers Nut, was whelped in September 2009. Her trainer is S M Buckland, hopes top slot for her in the next event.
The third greyhound to reach the finish line was, Jumeirah Dilemma, who completed the distance in 29.42 seconds after breaking from trap 6.  Jumeriah Dilemma posted his fourth win of his career which started on 18 June, 2011. Whelped in August 2009,
he is trained by P A Sallis.
Westview Poppy, finished fourth in the race with a difference of 0.4 seconds adrift from Jumeirah Dilemma. Breaking from trap 5, the b***h reached the destination in 29.46 seconds. She is trained by G B Ballentine.
The second join favourite of the race, Trivia, finished fifth by reaching the finish line in 29.48 seconds. The b***h tried her best to catch, Westview Poppy, but failed.

Ask Flash, finished sixth in the race. Breaking from Trap 2, the J E Meek trainee covered the distance in 29.70 seconds
At the end of the race, Caribbean Gem got the prize money of £145, while the second and third position holders bagged £31 each. Each of the remaining three greyhounds earned £30.
