Hall Green, The Local Parking Security Prestige Heat 2, Grade OR, 645m – Results
The Grade OR Local Parking Security Prestige Heat 2 was run over a distance of 645 metres, and it was held at Hall Green on 6 January, 2012. The six racing dogs of the event were named as Fleeting Image, Bowtime Joey, Aero Majestic, Delighful Aine,
Farley Zach and Young Tokyo.
Fleeting Image, came out of the race as the victor, as he broke from trap number 3, the dog ran a calculated race and completed the distance in 39.72 seconds.
The way he surpassed his competitors was excellent to watch for the spectators. It was his maiden race of 645 metres. The hound kicked off his racing career in September, 2011 at Wimbledon, winning his debut race at first asking.
Whelped in March 2009, Fleeting Image gets training from K J Findlay.
The dog who finished second in the race was, Bowtime Joey. He also demonstrated enough aggression, as he fiddled with the leader throughout the race, but failed to excel with a slight margin of one and a half second. Breaking from trap 2, he reached
the finish line in 40.32 seconds.
He also ran for the first time in this category since his debut on 7, June, 2011. His victory ratio has not been satisfactory so far. However, his trainer, S Mason, hopes that his dog will soon live up to his potential. Bowtime Joey was whelped in
August 2009.
Aero Majestic, finished a solid third, as he kicked off proceedings by breaking from trap 1 and covered the distance in 40.46 seconds.
He tried his utmost to out finish the eventual runner up, Bowtime Joey, but lagged with a margin of 0.14 seconds. It was his second race of this category. He grabbed top slot in the first one that was held at Oxford two months back.
The dog started his career on 27 May, 2011 at Wimbledon. Whelped in July 2009, the dog is trained by M A wallis.
Delighful Aine, finished fourth in the race. Breaking from trap 4, she crossed the finish line in 40.54 seconds. The b***h was whelped in August 2009. Her trainer is C Allsopp.
The greyhound to get fifth spot in the competition was, Farley Zach, who finished up in 40.82 seconds after breaking from trap 5. The dog is trained by K Billingham.
The tail ender in the race was, Young Tokyo, who completed the distance in 41.02 seconds. The first position holder was awarded cash prize worth of £159 while each of the other five racers got £30.
