  1. That is such a cute idea.... I would suggest a card board box that she will fit comfortably make sure to cut off the bottom in order for her to be able to walk and inside the box maybe some little handles so, she can hold on to it or two holes for her arms to fit thru to hold on to the box. Paint it pink on the outside. Cut out a reasonable square size and glue some celophane and then have her draw the words Barbie and paste it slant wise on the top part of the box. Of course have her dress up as the Barbie she is suppose to be :)

  2. Wow what a great idea.I think you should find a box that your daughter would fit into.Decorate the box either with barbie contact paper, barbie material, even some chiffon material(in purple and pink)make some holes in the box or your daughters arms and then dress your daughter up in a party dress and a crown and a touch of light pink blush to her cheeks.Oh what fun!!!!I'm 37 and have 2 kids and I just love doing things like that.I'm very arty/crafty.Have fun!!!

  3. Love this idea!

I think the ideas of the boxes people talked about are great.  One "accessory" you could add for fun, would be to have her place a dark round belt around her waist that would look like all of those "irritating" ties that "LOCK DOWN" these toys so much that it takes a engineer to figure out a way to "free" the toy"  LOL.  Have fun!

  4. My brother was a "severed head for dinner" for halloween once and part of that costume involved a dining room table made from a box and it was a bit complicated having a cardboard box as part of the costume but it looks great!

I don't think you need to go as far as to have clear plastic in the front as this could make it complicated to get in and out of, but start with an appliance box and cut out the front (where the plastic usually is) and then cut a square out of the bottom for her to put her feet through. Then cut holes in the box and thread black or silver cloth belts through the holes (like the twist ties). The holes should he in a position so that the cloth belts tie around her upper arms and waist to hold the box on.

Don't forget to paint the whole box pink and paint on the barbie logo and something that I think would be cute is if you painted a barcode on the back of the box and maybe did a price sticker on it.

  5. Well off the top of my head,  I guess you could try something like this.

Get an appliance box or something similar - if you don' t have one ask the hardware store-  I am sure they have to get rid of large boxes all the time and wouldn't mind you having on.  Cut a large whole and one side and have cut of the small end of the box.

The paint the outside of the box and put stiff clear plastic sheeting across the whole (I am sure the hardware store will have something that will work).  You want the material very stiff because you don't want a problem with suffocation.  And you might want to punch some whole around the box in like star shapes or heart shapes so there is plenty of air.

Then your daughter just needs to dress up in her favorite dress up clothes or favorite outfit and put the box on.
