completely off season, I know, but what's a cool and creative costume for halloween? I'm looking for something that is definetly unusual, and fairly cheap pricewise, and very easy to throw together. Anybody?

  1. We had a huge hit with the teabag.

Buy 4 yards of medium- or heavy-weight interfacing at a fabric store. (Catch a coupon if you can, in most Sunday papers.) Fold it over so the short ends meet and stitch the open end shut by stitching them together. At the midpoint of the folded-over bag, cut a hole through both layers for your head. Use that hole to fill with dead leaves, plentiful by October, or cut-up construction paper in brown, orange, and yellow. Paint a 8.5 x 11 tag that says "Brisk" or "Flo-Thru" and attach with string.

Total cost about $6 (using coupon and real leaves), and sometimes wins costume contests.

  2. There are a lot of unusual and fun ideas on both of these sites:

(the Dunking Donuts one looks pretty funny!)

  3. Oh my goodness I love the idea of the tea bag!

But I was gonna say do something cheezy.

Last year i was a fat old lady.

    With saggy b***s (pillow)

    Lame, too big clothes.

    And slippers.

    Dont forget the cane!

  4. last yr i wuz  a rainbow! i painted my face and wore crazy colorful colors! i also had a cape with rainbow hearts and a fuzzy blue hat. cost me about 20 bucks and all my friends loved it!!.
