Every year I do a Halloween display on my front porch for the many trick or treaters to enjoy. Last year I did a haunted cemetary, this year I want to do a haunted pirate ship or ship wreck. I would love to hear your ideas and suggestions! I already have a list but it is very short considering I only minutes ago decided which theme to go with. Thanks!

  1. To Jandismo's suggestions I would add some haunted faces of pirates.

You could also add a few traditional  hanging floating ghosts.

I would also take some time to look at some of the Halloween sites on the web because they can give you even further ideas.

You sound like a very creative person.  I think you would also enjoy  the food sections in these sites.  Best wishes for a really nice Halloween.  Have you posted any pictures of your porch from last year's decoration effort"  They would be nice to view.  Thank you.

  2. Make it a ship wreck captained by a skeleton pirate.

  3. First I would start with the pirate ship.  Make sure the sales are torn and dirty.  I would make sure the wood looks old and has some holes in it as well.  I would have a skeleton steering the ship and other skeletons sitting and standing as well.  Put a hook on one of the skeletons hands and a peg leg.  You could also put eye patches and pirate hats on some of the skeletons. Have some fake pirate swords sitting by the skeletons or have them holding them. You could also have a skeleton of a parrot on the captains shoulder. I would also have a fog machine inside the boat so it gives the ship that spooky feel.
