  1. Hello... Budget stores like Wal-mart, Kmart, and BigLots sell lighting for really cheap and it can be a cheap way to create a cool mood. You can half core the tops of apples and put small votive candles in them and place them in a dish of water (like floating apples).. if you like gore and you are having a party, you can fill your bathtub about half full, and put cool-aid or jello mix in to make the water red, then in a small pan mix more of this up with less water and use your hand as a stamp. You can stamp "bloody" hand prints around your bathtub and tile... as if someone tried to escape their bloody demise. Dark fabric thrown over lamps can cast an eerie effect as well.

  2. Go to the dollar store! find candles and even the flame-less candles (they're safer). Place on mantles in glass votive cups and then use some cheap spider webbing (like less than a buck) and pull it into wispy strings for a creepy effect! It looks great and should cost you less than $5. Also, cheap old metal candelabras are great to do this to...you can find at a flea market or garage sale.

I use alot of the spider webbing at my place...we cover photo frames and artwork....makes everything look run down and creepy.

Also, wal-mart or target have great decorations on a budget. everything from plastic drips of blood to cute pumpkin garland....and most of it is less than $5.

I'm halloween crazy too...so here's my best advice. Get a big plastic tub and label it halloween supplies. Keep your collection from year to year and add to it each year. I have stuff from when I was your age and I'm now in my 30's...and it's great to see those old decorations and remember the great halloweens I've had! I now have 17 tubs of indoor decorations! LOL! I must be crazy!

    Have fun!!

  3. Dim the lights and wearing a witches hat should do the trick on your budget. You'll be surprised by the result.
