Halogen ring not working

Question

i have a belling halogen cooker model 631wh the halogen ring will not work when i turn the k**b to turn it on nothing happens but when i turn on the other kobs to turn on the other rings you can hear a little click noise for it to come on but when i turn the halogen k**b you cant hear enything ? doyou think the switch as gone or is it the hallogen ring ?
