  1. in halter class you go into the ring when the judge says and you walk up to the judge stop till she/he tells you to go then you trot your horse to the line up then you have to get your horses hoofs lined the front lined horizontal and the back horizontal the feet have to be the same width apart when the judge gets to your horse you have to face the judge the whole time until she is done judging your horse still lined until the show is over

    show halter its fancy lookin

yes i do halter and my and i love

    hope i helped

  2. In halter its mainly about the horses confirmation. They have different halter classes: Mare Halter, Gelding, Stud, Color etc. Normally there isn't really a pattern. You walk into the ring and walk up to your judge (remember to smile :) ) and when your judge steps out of your way, you get your horse to jog (trot) until you get to your place in the line of horses being shown. Then you set your horse up. Meaning they stand with their feet perfectly squared.

I take lessons and do shows with paints, so in color halter, the judges base their scores 60% on the color/ pattern of the horses coat, and 40% on confirmation.

So for your horse, you'd enter him in gelding/ color halter classes.

I use a leather halter and lead (lead has a chain), with some silver on both and some little jewels on the halter also. with the chain, you run through the left side of the nose ring of the halter, under the horses chin, through the nose ring on the right and up the halter to the secong ring and clip it. It helps you have more control of your horses head.

I LOVE halter!! Hope I helped with your decision!
