Arnesen claimed that the club’s first priority would be to strengthen the areas that need quality and three players have already been bought considering there is still time to the start of the new season. The club have acquired http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Mancienne-c25332, Jacopo
Sala and Gokhan Tore, all from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Defence-c38904 and midfield for the coming season.
The Director hinted on signing young players so that the team could be rebuilt for the future and wants to promote young talent.
“Now's not the time to be talking about where we might finish in the table. Our first priorities are to put the best possible squad together and prepare ourselves optimally in all other relevant areas. That's what we're totally focused on, that's how we'll
build the foundations for the future,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to Bundesliga.com.
Arnesen also wants to repay the fans faith after a rather poor 2010/11 season and is eager to win over the fans with a good start to the next domestic campaign. He wants the supporters to be right behind the club so that the players have the confidence which
could lead to a very good start.
“And our aim has to be to give everything for HSV in every game, to get our fans completely behind us, and the football we play once again. To get the team and the supporters back on the same wavelength would be a great start,” he concluded.
