Hamburg SV striker Mladen Petric insists he will be fit before the season starts- Bundesliga news
Hamburg SV striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mladen-Petric-c26139 has insisted that he will reach full fitness before the next season starts. The player added that his training is going well after the surgery and that he expects to be available for the team in
August for the start of the Bundesliga campaign.
The Croatian international suffered a hamstring injury in April which kept him out until the end of the last season. The forward underwent a surgery recently for the injury and is going through the rehabilitation period to achieve
full fitness for the next campaign.
Petric claimed that he will be ready for the upcoming season and stated that the surgery went really well. He said that he is recovering quickly from the injury and hopefully would be prepared to start training with the squad in
the mid of July. He also thanked the medical team at the club for the support and the work they have done.
“Until the season start I will stand on the pitch. So far, after the surgery everything went really well. He has done something twice a day with me. In mid-July I will be there in full training again,” the striker was quoted as
saying in an interview.
The former Borussia Dortmund player added that his team is determined to perform well in the next season. He also admitted that a good start to the season is crucial if Rothosen need to finish higher on the standings table. The
forward insisted that the club has been active in the transfer window and hoped the new players make an instant impact.
“The team has been very rejuvenated in preparing to be seen how far we are. Until one identifies a seasonal destination, we need to wait for perhaps the first four, five championship games. Then you will see where it goes,” the
player concluded.
