Hamburg SV’s Frank Arnesen remains confident that things will get better this season- Bundesliga news
Hamburg SV Sporting Director Frank Arnesen is confident that the club will reach the heights of success in the coming years. He insisted that the club have had a busy summer transfer window and the new players will take some time
to settle in to the new tactical conditions.
Hamburg have played two matches in the Bundesliga thus far and are sitting in 16th place at the moment on the standings table with one point. Rothosen lost the first match on the opening day of the season to champions
Borussia Dortmund and drew the second one at home to newly promoted Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 last week.
Arnesen admitted that it has been a tough last few months for the club as many of the key players left in the summer including http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joris-Mathijsen-c19242. He added that the current side consists of some very young
players and they are great prospects for the future.
The Sporting Director had earlier this month insisted that the fans should not expect wonders right away as the club has some long-term plans which include nurturing youth for the future.
“It's not the case that everything is going to go smoothly from one day to the next. We need to put in the hard work, every day, and we have to be clear about that. There are no free lunches in the Bundesliga - everything you get,
you have to earn,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Hamburg manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Oenning admitted that the players will have to get used to things as soon as possible and insisted that they cannot afford any more slip ups in the next matches. He urged the players to show more determination
and aggression.
“Well aware that I still need to get a few ideas up and running. We don't have the time to indulge in a process of trial and error,” the manager added.
Hamburg have a tough task to play Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in their next Bundesliga clash this weekend.
