The former Banik Sokolov and Viktoria Plzen player completed his move to the Dinosaur outfit on a four-year contract and the midfielder wants a more significant role in his new club compared to his former team.
Wolfsburg attacking player Petr Jiracek has finalised his transfer to Hamburg until the summer of 2016 on a four-year deal for an upfront payment of €4m.
The midfield maestro signed for the Wheel Covers in December 2011 on a four-and-a-half year contract, and was impressive during the start before suffering injury and then never regaining his place in the first team. A failed spell
in Felix Magath’s team and a good UEFA European Championship 2012 earned him a move to the Rothosen.
The Czech international star will link up with his new team for a practice session on Wednesday and the Imtech Arena outfit manager Thorsten Fink was pleased with the qualities possessed by the Czech star. The coach said that the
player has great stamina, amazing work-rate and has a goal-scoring ability as well.
"He is a running machine, possesses no fear and provides a threat in front of goal," Fink was quoted as saying in an interview.
The tactician suggested that the playmaker is a technically gifted player, can create goals and have a good head. The exceptional commitment of the midfielder has led to his transfer to the Imtech Arena.
"He's a quiet instigator with heart and mental strength. It's exactly those types of players that we want," he mused.
The attacker was not included in Wolfsburg squad that faced Stuttgart over the weekend, in the opening fixtures of the Bundesliga. The 26-year-old expressed his joy after switching between Bundesliga clubs and has confirmed to
fight for a regular starting berth.
The youngster claimed that he will need time to adapt to the new side and believes that once he gets settled he will show his abilities to them.
"I'm very excited to join HSV. Once I get acclimatised to my new surroundings, I want to play a leading role," he finally concluded.
Jiracek scored only two times in his 13 games for Wolfsburg and was injured for most part of the last term.
