Newly appointed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 Director, Frank Arnesen, has revealed plans for the upcoming 2011/12 season. He also praised the newly acquired Chelsea trio and believed that the new arrivals could well enable the club to achieve new heights during
the upcoming season.
The former attacking midfielder stated that the outfit doesn’t have enough money in their kitty to spend so the club would spend watchfully. He also hinted towards the recruitment of some more new faces but was clear in his stance that the club would spend
no more then 2-3 million Euros from now on. He also mentioned that the officials were closely monitoring the performance of each player throughout the campaign and there were a few of those who struggled to make their mark at Imtech Arena.
Arnesen enthused that the players won’t be shown the exit doors, but the manager has made an extra effort to get them back in shape and now everyone is training hard. He further mentioned that the club was unlucky to have missed out on a place in Europe
and thought that Hamburger should have at least qualified for the UEFA Europa League.
He did praise the efforts of head Coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 to help his side finish in the top half of the table. The Red Shorts finished the 2010/11 campaign eighth on the table with 45 points, and were left two points short
of a place in Europe.
The director also praised the new arrivals from the Premier League side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Mancienne-c25332 and Jacopo Sala are the three new additions to the Hamburger squad
for the upcoming season.
Arnesen believed that the trio shouldn’t have any problems settling down at Imtech Arena and wished them all the best for their future with their new club. The newly appointed director also hoped that the club would finish higher then where they did in the
season ended, and a place in Europe would be even more ideal.
