They might certainly be an embarrassed lot. Coz all the 5 points they stated are actually his weaknesses which snowballed on his & the Brit media's face. What a PUNK !

  1. Oh dear, why do they keep on printing the drivel that Jackie Stewart endlessly spouts? And Damon "not even as good as your dad" Hill doesn't know his **** from his elbow either...I think he's got a masterplan to take over Jackie's role in the media in a few years' time.

It's noticeable that only Lauda (as usual) makes a worthwhile comment: Hamilton's ego does, indeed, continue to grow unabated.

EDIT...re. Wolfgirl: "who he's up against". Nobody terribly important in the grand scheme of things. This is the weakest F1 field since the last low period of 1994-1997!

  2. I stopped listening to Stewart, Moss, Hill and the other British ex-F1 stars.  If they want to be tools for the British media's over-the-top hyping of Hamilton, they can go ahead.

I just think this mindless cheer-leading (like calling a F1 rookie the greatest thing ever) actually hurts the credibility of guys like Stewart, Moss, Hill, etc . . .

Prost and Fittipaldi often make good comments about the state of F1.  Even Mansell sometimes talks a lot of sense about Hamilton's hype.  Mansell!!!!   That is shocking, Mansell as the objective, sensible British voice!

  3. british media always go wild!

  4. You put RACE WINNER and CHAMPIONSHIP LEADER Robert Kubica, who is the same age and has almost exactly the same amount of experience as Little Suzie Hamilton, in the other McLaren and he'd make Hamilton look like the overrated little worm he is. As it is, there is a very real chance that RK might manage to do that in the car he's in, which he and everyone else readily admits is not quite as good as a McLaren (although it apparently works better at stopping). Kubica doesn't make stupid errors like driving into walls and parked cars and putting his car in the wrong gear. It might be one thing if RK was a ten-year vet and Hamilton the 2nd-year neophyte, but they're on exactly the same level. Hamilton is where he is because he's blessed with a patron with an excellent car, and that's it.

  5. I normally don't pay too much attention to what they say. But this article is a bit too much really. I wonder were there such things printed about DC and JB years ago. Hamilton's ego seems to be growing (I don't think he was like that early last year). And despite whatever he does, some of his fans still have undying support for him and will defend him in any way.

  6. He still has a lot to learn. His talent is fairly raw at the moment, and he needs the experience he will gain over the next few years in order to master the Championships.

I think he has formidable talent considering his age and who he's up against! I stand behind him all the way.

  7. I particularly enjoyed Hill's remarks: "his calmness, serenity and perfect composure...". Looking at it now makes it sound even sarcastic...

I just think this is proof the guy's a bit too young to start on such a team. He's quick, I have no doubt about that, but there's more to F1 than being quick... unfortunately.
