Hammer stroke leaves Wade completely helpless
The beginning of the new season of darts has initiated a number of exciting encounters waiting to go underway between the best of darts.
McCoy Premier League features the elite of darts facing each other on the oche, battling it out to gain the entry pass for the O2 event.
Some of the interesting matches that took place were between the 15-time champion Phil Taylor and reigning champion Adrian Lewis.
The nail-biting encounter ended in favour of ‘the Power’ and the spectacular comeback he made in the final moments of the game.
Winning streak for Taylor continued in the form of his 4-1 victory against the Premier League debutant Kevin Painter.
On the other hand, the event is turning difficult in terms of digestion for Jackpot.
His opening defeat against Taylor could not wither away in his next match against the Dutch darts superstar Raymond van Barneveld.
However, apart from this, other crucial contenders festooning the squad of the event include Andy Hamilton and James Wade.
Hamilton is once again a debutant in the event, whereas Wade, after losing to Lewis in the semi-final at Ladbrokes, had to go through a prolonged session of nervous disorder diagnosis.
It is precisely because of his slow recovery from these problems and complications that deprived Wade of showcasing his actual skills and potential on the oche.
This particularly provided Hamilton the opportunity to capitalise and establish his reputation as a quality darts player in Premier League, especially when he is making is his debut.
In both the campaign opening match, Hamilton was able to outclass his opponent with an 8-5 score line.
However, conditions were not completely in favour of Hamilton since the beginning. He emerged as the sole dominator on the game after both of them levelled 4-4 in the opening legs.
In subsequent stages of the game, it was Hammer who repeatedly made his strokes to win one leg after the other.
With increasing arrears, Wade suffered from what he fears the most - the danger of losing his grip on the game.
He was only able to claim one leg to his name as Hamilton dismounted from the oche as the winner.
