The hosts were in a spot of bother, losing three batsmen for just 37 runs on the board. However, the innings was out on track by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sean-Ervine-c2471, as the pair collected a half-century partnership.
They scored 66 runs for the fourth wicket stand, guiding the team’s total above 100 before Ervine was sent back to the pavilion. The Zimbabwean batsman was the third man to be run-out in the innings, as Hampshire displayed some miserable running between
the wickets in the match.
Ervine played well though, scoring 35 runs off 30 balls with the help of four fours and one massive six.
McKenzie did not miss out on an opportunity to make a solid impression for his side, as the South African went onto make a very good half-century. He was dismissed in the final over of the innings after scoring 56 runs from 44 deliveries. The Proteas batsman
struck four fours and a couple of huge sixes in his impressive outing.
