  1. The initials of Henry and Anne Boleyn were carved into some of the stonework at Hampton Court. The initials 'HA' were referred to as 'Ha Ha' by those who were happy to see the downfall of this tragic queen. Anne's own initial can still be seen in the Great Hall at Hampton Court.

  2. The story is that ..the day after Anne's execution Henry became engaged to Jane Seymour. It is said that he never spoke Anne's name again and destroyed all memories of her at great speed.

This is probably why we have so few paintings of Anne. He ordered all the windows with her initials carved with his to be removed and replaced with Jane's. This included coats of arms.

In their haste the workmen missed one or two of the H's and A's at an arch way in the court yard of Hampton Court....Lets hope Henry never looked up.
