Hamster 20 gal tank?

Question

I want to get my Syrian a 20 gallon tank, where can I get one? The pet store by me didn't have one...also, a 20 gal tank topper? I can't seem to find one online...the only one I've seen is that ugly metal one for rats..

Also, does anyone suggest a wire cage? I can't decide between a wire one or tank.

The easiest cheapest option is a large rubbermaid bin.  Its similar to a tank but easy to carry and lift when you clean it out.

try petco.com or if you want a wire one the maine cage factory has a website. they make beautiful wire cages that are designed for hamsters

yes i would strongly suggest a wire cage. they have better ventilation, and theyre cheaper! your hamster can climb them and you can easily attach a water bottle to it. most of them come with wheels so you wont have to pay for that either.

You can buy one at fish shops or pet shops. Try a different pet shop or ask the pet shop workers. They should have one, if not a 10 gallon is ok too. Some 20 gallon tanks come with lids, but some pet shops sell them separately, but you could also use mosquito netting, some reptile stores should have lids. I have a wire cage, but they are usually smaller and some hamsters will chew on the bars, if you don't think you'll like your hamster chewing on the bars you can get an aquarium.

yea but make sure the bottom is not wire it can hurt there feet.20 gal tanks are easy to find i subjest a fish store and try another pet store.i use 20 gal tanks for my hamster.
