  1. Yes it is Okay to leave it alone but make sure you keep the cage locked so it doesnt get out and hamsters dont get very big so thats why you can get small cages but a medium size would be the best and usually males are nicer but dont get two males together and a good soft hamster is the teddybear hamster and 5 it ranges between 30-50 dollars

  2. 1yeah it is ok 2 about 4 in 3 boys are nicer 4 dwarf hamster 5 about $30.00

  3. 1.Yes it is perfectly fine to leave your hamster at home BUT observe your hamsters behavior if he/she likes to chew on things I would highly recommend not getting a plastic cage they can gnaw through it and get out (I know this from past experience!)

2.The smallest hamster is a teddy bear hamster they are very small and very soft (when there young) but they can get VERY big up to about 6 or 7 inches (were talking about the size of a Guinea pig) if it lives that long. There is the golden hamster,Fancy Hamster, and Standard Hamster and they all grow to be about 5 to 6 inches long.

3.Female hamsters tend to grow larger than males and females are allot more territorial than males so if I were you I would get a male.

4.Oh like I said above the smallest hamster there is is the teddy bear hamster but they do get big but they are SO soft!

5.If you want to save allot of $$ and have a good quality cage that the hamster cant crawl out of I would get a glass gage (like the fish tank ones) you wont have to worry about a hamster crawling out of that! That will roughly cost about 20-30 dollars. A ball will cost about 6-12  dollars. A medium bag of hamster food will cost about 5 bucks and a small water bottle will cost about 4 or 5 dollars soo your looking at a max of about 60 dollars. GOOD LUCK!!!!

  4. i have a hamster and they are very easy to take care of

1.yes as long as it has food and fresh water

2.mostly they are the same size

3.i have a female that has had babies most say they are more protective but she is great and very loving

4.play with her alot and keep her cage tied up with a piece a string or they will find a way to get out mine did

5.hmmm...40-50 dollars if you get the cheapest

good luck and remember if you dont hold it and play with it once a day it will bite and be unfriendly
