My Hamster is Muddles.

I was going on holiday and i decided to let her stay with my nan for the WHOLE Three Weeks my nan thinking that it was safe let him loose in her kitchen (the kitchens where everything is boarded up you know the bottoms of everything). She Looked back and he was gone a few days later she realised a little hole... about the size of a medium bouncy ball...

Muddles waist was about ------------------------------- that wide (he was syrian).

Now the BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGG Problem he is lost in a 8 floor flat...

DOES HE HAVE A CHANCE?

  1. That depends on how long he has been lost, but I would look as fast as you can.

  2. take a bucket and stack books up to it like stairs then put his fave treats in it and maybe some fruit and he should turn up in it

  3. Yes he has a chance I lost my hamster for about a week once and gave up all hope . I just got up one night to go to the toilet and she was looking at me unharmed Putting food down might help though hope you find him :)

  4. of course he as a chance just put some food near the hole i once lost my hamster but i found it i tripped up over it  he should come back for food or put a cat on a lead and let cat sniff it out might not be a good idea hope it helps

  5. You could leave cheese out for him and food and a water bowl next to his cage.  Put it in the kitchen and see if you can get him back.  My hamster also disappeared but the food helped.  Karen

  6. i depends on what he is eating or he may not be eating at all and can die because of that but to be honest i don't think he will have a chance!

  7. Well i lost my hamster once and i used a bowl covered in flour with food in the middle so when i woke up the next morning i could follow its tracks ! Also now i dont wnat to be mean but you can buy mouse boxes that when a hamster/rodent walks in it the door closes leaving the hamster unharmed and safe!

  8. He has a chance.

my cousin's lost their hamster in an apartment building and after a week someone on the next floor found him.

just make sure you tell everyone that lives near by that he is missing and not to put of mouse traps.

  9. You shouldn't have let him loose you should have him in exercise ball to run about.. hamsters easily gets lost if loose hiim.  It has happened to my hamster, she was lost for 4 days there was a hole in the wall, I left food and cut orange in half left them next to hole my hamster came back because she was hungry lucky i saw her standing there, i got her back after 4 days of missings. So, your nan lives in 8 floors? so hamster MIGHT not have chance to get back. But try leave food/water and orange next to hole, never know he will come back

  10. my hamster used to be an escape artist too we used to put down cucumber slice for him.

  11. Hard to say. Try putting some food down and hope that he comes to get it. Hamsters can easily get into small spaces so he should be able to get back through that hole

  12. He has a chance, chances are he's still in the flat. Just leave him treats on the floor.

Anyway, please try not to worry. My friend found her lost hamster nesting behind their oven 2 years later! Goodluck! xx

  13. yes we had ours  get out he was fine when he decided to sit in front of my wife and clean it self there wild rodents at heart so there is a instinct in them to survive not only that they know were there save so sit quiet for a few days and he will say hiya when your not even thinking of him fingers crossed anyway

  14. I don't think he does.  but i would put out a few traps for him with his favorite food or treat.  if you don't catch him in a week he's gone and i am sorry.

  15. Off course he have a chance. But if your neighbor have a cat, that cat

have it's chance too you know.

  16. on each floor put a big bucket with its favourite food in, then make steps up to the top of the bucket check the next day and he should be there (unless there is a cat in the building) ps make the bucket big enough so muddles cant climb back out

we have done this four times in a 4 storey flat it works every time we used sunflower seeds

  17. he has a chance and try setting a trap for him with a bucket full of bedding and his favorite treats with a ramp coming up he will full of and land in the bucket.

  18. it depends what kind of other creatures live in the house u could try putting some food in a jar and then propping it up eith some books so that the hamster can get in but once it is in the jar will sit vertical and muddles will be trapped from escaping again

  19. try getting a humane mouse trap and putting a piece of chocolate in it. They can't resist the stuff!

  20. of course he has a chance this works trust me .

get a big bucket and fill it with food and put a ladder up to it put some food all the way up the ladder like a trail so he will follow it and the when he gets to the top oof the ladder he will fall in the bucket and wont beable to get out again that way you caught your missing hamster. thats if you want him back.
