how do i get my hamster to drink from the water bottle ?

They should drink naturally from it.  If they don't get them a little dish and put water in it.

well they natrually drink from it on their own time but maby you shouold put it a little so it can reach it but their might be a slight chance that it does not no how to drink out of it so if thats the case then maby you should try putting a bowl of water in the cage instead of the water bottle well i hoped that helped i wish you the best bye! : ]

My guess is that the your hamster is a bit confused and still getting used to his new cage. This happens to hamsters when introduced to new environment since they are creatures of habit. I am sure he would figure out himselves how to use the bottle in a few days, until then leave a water dish in his cage and make sure that there is always a drop of water hanging from the tip of the hamster bottle so that your hamster gets attracted to it and learns to drink from the bottle. Just make sure that the bottle is fixed at a level where the hamster can reachthe nozzle easily.

Hamsters should just drink from it when they're thristy. Maybe it only drinks when you're not looking. If there's not significant change in the water level by tomorrow then put some water in a small ceramic dish or feed your hamster fruit.

he'll drink when he's thirsty. if you haven't seen him drink during the day, remember that they are nocturnal. they do almost everything at night. if you really are concerned that he is not drinking, check the spout and make sure that there is water coming out when the ball is moved. and if your still unsure, contact a vet. he is probably just not in ur sights when he is drinking though, don't worry about it. and think, if he is surviving for days like this, he's getting what he needs.

If he doesn't start to drink for it say by tomorrow (and put a piece of tape or something to mark the water level...they don't drink that much and you might not see him drinking) get a small bowl from the pet store and put water in it.
