Hamster Lead and Harness?

i may have gone completely potty, but can you get a lead/harness for your hamster?

But ur right they r not sturdy and hamsters are smart creatures they will get loose.He will be better in his ball

yes you can, its just stupid. who is going to take a hamster for a walk, you would end up standing on it

If you were thinking of walking your hamster outside DONT hamsters are unsafe being outside  due to all the Other life out there e.g cats! dogs , and loads more  also the hamster could catch fleas from the outside from foxes and other animals. With my hamster i put him in his ball and he rolls around in the garden , with me watching him. So thats what you could do ? x

Yes.

However, they're not great- from what I can see, it's a loop of string attached to a long piece of string- and you should NOT walk your hamster /anywhere/ outside. You can walk your hamster inside all you like, just not outside.

Yeah, I work in a pet shop, and we sell rabbit/guinea harnesses, but we don't sell the hamster ones because they're dangerous and easily slipped. The harnesses were only invented so little kids could treat their small animals like dogs.

That looks silly. I think hamsters shouldn't be put on harnesses and that it is cruel. How would you like it if someone strapped you in a harness? You wouldn't like it, now would you!

well the hAmster will hate it they are indipentdant creatures and like to go free on there own and the RSPCA class it as cruelty

yes you can use them. most are sturdy actually. I bought an adjustable harness for a ferret and it woked fine. just dont take them outside on it because hamsters are escape artists.

oh and also instead of using a harnes and leash, just take your hamster outside and let it play in the grass , but keep a close eye on it. thats what i do with my hamster and she loves it.
