Hamster Noises 10 points!?

Question

i have a fairly new hamster a russian dwarf . today i tried to pick him up {i have picked him up pleantly!} he started to make a suddle chitter sqeaky sound in my hand i immediately put him down what do the different types of noises a hamster makes mean! PLEASE

he could be sick(but i don't think so) or cold, or eating some food he was chewing... but otherwise don't worry

well, his teeth might have been clacking together, saying hes ready to bite. he moght just not have wanted to be picked up

Was it like a squeal? That's a sign that he's scared.

A chitter sound means they are about to attack so stay away.(like when your really cold and your teeth chatter)

A really loud sream is, well i don't know what it means..probably stay away.

My friend was walking down the stairs and beside the stairs is one of me hamsters..and the hamster started sreaming! LOL

Maybe it was just scared, before i picked up my hamsters i used to just put my hand in the cage for a few minutes a day so it could get used to that first, then after about 2 weeks i picked it up

Well last time i heard a noise like that from a dwarf it lunged at me and bit me.

my hamster makes squeaky noises sometimes when shes in her cage it sort of sounds like tiny sneezes but shes fine. does yours do it all the time or only when she is handled?
